About Us

1315 Gallery specializes in local underground urban art. We realize the need for a gallery which:
  • Supports, showcases and promotes emerging, mid-career and established visual artists of the Ottawa/Gatineau Region.

  • Offers affordable original art ranging from $20 to $3000 done by artists exclusive to the gallery.

  • Introduces emerging and non-familiar artists to the community.

  • And is welcoming, friendly and approachable without ever hassling our visitors over a sale.
1315 Gallery is 750 sqr feet located literally 'underground' in a 4000 sqr feet basement. The Gallery shares space with the Weekend Reader, a walk-in book outlet of new and used books. 1315 is focused around presenting new works by our gallery artists and encouraging the appreciation and collection of underground art. We can exhibit more than 100 paintings at one time, so there a massive selection to view and enjoy.

Mission

Our mission is to make art accessible by being as affordable and approachable as possible! Offering a comprehensive collection of exceptional modern, urban/graffiti and contemporary underground art.

One of the most important roles the gallery plays is that of a venue for the cross-fertilization of ideas. We encourage artists, collectors, and the merely curious to drop in and visit; sharing ideas and opinions is at the heart of our gallery.
